Graham Langmuir was born in 1910 in the Titwoed parish of Glasgow, Scotland. He studied at the University of Glasgow graduating MA in 1929 . He went on to study Law at the University, graduating LLB in 1933 . Graham Langmuir practised as a solicitor in Bearsden, Glasgow, but his passion was steamers and he wrote four books with GC Duckworth on this subject: Clyde River and Other Steamers , Clyde and Other Coastal Steamers , Railway and Other Steamers , and West Coast Steamers .
